I think this picture says it all. This is from
Cozumel. The cruise was the biggest surprise of my
life. It was sooo beyond what I thought it would be
and everyone was amazing and right into the spirit.
It was a non-stop party and I hope you all had as
much fun as we all did (again...
see picture). MVP award goes to my friend Doug
Davidson for being the life of the party every time
he stepped on stage. Wasn't the Q and A stuff and
the movie night the most hilarious thing? I haven't
laughed that much and that hard since Italy. John
Waite was truly brilliant and what a freaking voice
he has. I hope we can put our duet of 'All Right
Now' on a DVD or something. Jackie Zeyman gets the
'sweetest person' award and she has always been like
that. And how cool was Jay? He was our resident hunk
and all round good guy (we will not mention the
handcuff incident, however).
Mark Goodman became a good friend on this cruise even though
I've know him since the early MTV days and was great in
helping to rein in Doug's and my ravings and keep the shows
going smoothly. The show on the beach was so much fun for me
and the band and then to swim in that ocean after 3 days of
sailing on top of it was incredible. And then there was the
show on the Lido deck where we'd all had a bit too much to
drink (Duh! Its a cruise) and ended up doing songs like
'Twist and Shout' and a bunch of cool covers we've never
played before. Extra 'wild man' award goes to Joe (one of
the 'Cruisers') with his yellow fright wig, being the first
guy to dive into one of the jacuzzi's below where we were
playing. And the last show where we did a bunch of songs
from my catalogue that we have never attempted before was
the best for me. We may even ad 'Lust' and 'Bruce' to the
regular set. And don't even get me started on 'The 3 Amigos'
in Cozumel.
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahha.
It was truly the best cruise that the people who put it on
say they have ever done! And I agree (once more...see
photo).
